Tips

Tips for Getting Images Out of PPTX Files

Save .ppt as .pptx

Binary .ppt files are not supported. Use Save As → PowerPoint Presentation (.pptx) in PowerPoint or LibreOffice.

EMF/WMF offline

Vector metafiles often cannot preview in the browser. Download ZIP and open them in PowerPoint on Windows.

Select all, then trim

On image-heavy templates, start with Select all and deselect tiny icons before ZIP download.

Check file size

Very large PPTX files with hundreds of images may take longer to parse — wait for the progress bar to finish.

FAQ

PPT Image Extractor FAQ

How do I bulk-export or batch-download images from a PowerPoint presentation?

Upload your .pptx file at the top of this page. We bulk-extract every image under ppt/media/, show thumbnails, and let you batch-download a ZIP of your selection — no need to save slide pictures one by one.

What is bulk image extract from PowerPoint?

Bulk image extract (also called batch or mass image export) means pulling every picture stored inside a PPTX at once. We read the ppt/media folder in the Office Open XML archive and export those files without manually right-clicking each image in PowerPoint.

Which PowerPoint formats are supported?

PPTX, PPTM, POTX, and POTM. Older binary .ppt files must be converted to PPTX first.

Why can’t I preview some images?

EMF and WMF metafiles are common in PowerPoint but browsers cannot render them. They are still included in the ZIP for viewing in PowerPoint or Windows tools.

Is my presentation uploaded to your server?

No. Parsing happens in your browser. We do not receive or store your PowerPoint file.

Can I extract images from a password-protected PPTX?

Password-protected files cannot be opened as ZIP archives. Remove protection in PowerPoint, save, then upload again.
